There are many opportunities out there when it comes to travel. I have personally been involved in the travel industry in one form or another (PT Agent, Rep, marketers, etc) since the mid 90’s. I don’t do much, but I do enjoy the perks such as discounts and being able to help other with travel needs or starting a travel business. There are many companies out there that you can join for free, and some charge nominal fees, while other charge ridiculous fees to get started.
I recently made the switch to YTB Travel (YTB stands for Your Travel Business) and here is why:
1. You can join for free. This is sometimes good and sometimes not so good. If you are looking to get involved with a travel company where you can save on your personal travel, and also get paid to build a business, this may the place for you.
2. If you are looking to start an agency of your own with the support of a company that has been around for a while, they have that option as well, but there is a $499.90 start up fee and a monthly recurring fee of $49.95. When you look at other agency opportunities, this is a GREAT price. There are companies that charge THOUSANDS of dollars and offer much less.
3. Stability. YTB is not a start up so there is stability there. They are also publicly traded which gives a lot more accountability. They also have a seasoned & trusted leadership team.
4. Easy to get started. You can enroll within minutes and you will have your own web site to promote the business and the travel services if you decide to become an agent.
5. Marketing. Did you see that you get a free web site?
If you are looking for a great home based business opportunity, then I encourage you to visit http://www.ytb.com/tfg today to get started.

I could not agree with you more. Except your one point. Anyone really wanting to enter the YTB opportunity (free) should be advised they may not get the respect and the assistance they might expect had they put their money where their heart was. Come on folks.
The largest industry on the planet. The number 1 click and order on the internet. YTB a eight year old, highly successful online travel booking company soon going international. Combined 100+ years ownership management and expected $1 Billion in sales before the end of the year.
With the best pay plan in relationship marketing, EVER.
I would suggest you realize what you have with YTB and give it your full or part-time dedication, including but not limited to a financial committment. It’s $500 buck folks. Not what it should be $5,000-$10,000 or more.

Thanks for your feedback Earl. With regard to the “free” option, I think that is what makes this company great. Sure if someone joins for free and does nothing, it can be discouraging to the person who enrolled them, but the company has created a great opportunity for someone to have a true “made it from nothing” experience because all you have to have is determination to make it happen, and if they believe in the company enough to sell like mad, they will soon be able to upgrade and start earning even more.
what a crock. YTB is a waste of time and money.
I have to say what is really “a crock” and “a waste of time” is someone who posts a comment like that with no reason or explanation. I am all ears to know why you feel the way you feel about YTB. There are many misinformed or misguided (although well meaning) people who end up bitter over a bad experience in business. I venture to say if you have failed in YTB it is because you had a misconception, did not invest in learning the business, didn’t invest in changing from an employee or poverty mindset, or just quit.
Here is some advice. If you find a problem, don’t just complain, find a solution - it will make you wealthy. Negative thinkers have never created anything of substance, so you have to change your thinking before you will see the glass (or your bank account) half full.
YTB, along with other travel based home businesses, are a stroke of genius. Like anything, you have to be passionate about what you do, and who isn’t passionate about going on vacation?
Exceptional promotional blog!
YTB is a fantastic business opportunity. I like the flexibility of working the travel side f the business or working the marketing side or even doing both!
If you work YTB it will work with you. Great job with the blog!

@Rex - Thanks for your kinds word about the blog. I checked out your site and you and I have a lot in common (location (AZ), faith, industry, etc). I will be contacting you.
@Gail - Thanks as well for the encouragement with my blog. I checked your out and you’ve done a great job.
@ All YTB Reps - IF anyone is interested in buying or leasing travel domains for your business, I have three that have been very active in the past. I am not working the YTB business due to other commitments and I don’t think I will do much pro actively as I need to on my core business. If interested, send me an email at corp @ finamark.com with a subject of “travel domains”.
I joined YTB 2 months ago, first 2 weeks I made back my initial investment, 2 months later I am doing really well.
I do get negativity from some people, but I move on. I feel that they are not informed or just ignorant. I feel sorry for them, that they are missing out on one of the greatest opportunities.
This business has changed my life, in a positive way. I have power team leaders, that are my mentors and have helped me build my business at warp speed, I owe thanks to Miguel & Sandra Pittman, (New Haven, Ct.) Unity Connection Group, they have been wonderful. That is so important in this business. Good Luck to all my fellow YTBers, and God Bless.
