If you are an affiliate marketer and you are not cloaking your URL’s, I would venture to say that you are probalby losign money. I I have always been a big fan of 301 redirects for cloaking my affiliate links because I have total control.
Today I started using the free cloaking service, TinyURL which is a simple and easy to use tool. It is a great way to cloak or hide affiliate links and best of all the links don’t break in email, nor do they expire.

Read the fine print and you will get taken.
I don’t want to go head to head with anyone because I don’t have time for it, so I won’t name any names.
If you want to learn how to do affiliate marketing the right way, visit http://www.AffiliateGurusExposed.com and get my free report. No credit card required!
P.S. You will actually have to work to make money online. There are no free lunches.. well, I guess they do have them in jail, which is kind of appropriate for some affiliate marketers ![]()

YTB Travel Business Review - UPDATE

Filed Under Your Travel Biz, business opportunity review, YTB, travel business, Online Business Opportunities, business opportunities | Leave a Comment
Hello All,
Some time ago, I wrote about YTB as I was checking the business out. At this point, I don’t feel it is the best part time opportunity for a two reasons:
1. Travel Commissions are VERY low. If you are paying YTB $50 per month to keep your business going, you’ve got to book a lot of travel to make just $50. The real money made in YTB is in getting other people to join the business. That’s called recruiting. Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of money in recruiting, but YTB is not a recruiting company; it’s a travel company. Network Marketing is a great vehicle to operate a home based business, but it is only successful based on profits from sales. In travel this just isn’t possible due to the very small commission.
2. If you want to make money in travel, you can do it several other ways. The most ideal is by taking a Travel Agent Home Study Course, but here is a link to an article that details several ways to make money in the travel business.
Bottom Line - there are lots of less costly and more profitable ways to make money in the travel business.
If you are looking for a great home based business, however, check out the Freedom Report. It is a free download (no email required). Also, visit TimeandLifeFreedom.com, an online community that I started which is dedicated to helping people build income through home based businesses.
Wishing you the best!
Why I Love Affiliate Marketing

One of the most exciting thing that happens during my day is logging on to my email and getting a notification that I have made a sale. I mean checking my AdSense and Clickbank are cool too, but there is just something about getting the emails that makes checking email worth doing.
There is one thing I like better than that - random checks in the mail. I have so many affiliate programs that I just don’t even think of checking some of them, until I get the checks, then I log in to see what took place.
I hope you don’t think I am bragging because that it obnoxious. I do hope you are motivated to step out and make affiliate marketing a part of your business model. It’s the simplest money you will make in many cases.
There is a bit of a learning curve to understand the ins and outs of affiliate marketing. You can learn all you need to know just by doing your own research, but you can cut that short with the Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Garnder.
In this book, you will learn how to make money as a digital product publisher with thousands of affiliate marketing your products, but you will also (hopefully) see the wisdom in adding affiliate products to your existing businesses website or blog to increase revenues. Other methods include paying for web traffic to induce affiliate sales and building online communities around an affiliate product. I actually discuss the niche community aspect in my book, Clickbank Profit Secrets.
I hope this gets you thinking and gets you moving in the right direction… profitability!
Anthony
P.S. - If you haven’t read Affiliate Gurus Exposed, I recommend getting a copy to make sure you don’t get sucked into any of the affiliate marketing scams out there (oh yeah, this ebook is 100% free).

Have you heard of Scratchback? It the new online tipping system that gives back to those to give. Simply find a website that uses the Scratchback widget and click to see how much you have to tip and how long it will list your sites for. I haven’t put one on this blog yet, but it is coming.
Here is a site where you can get a one-month listing for a $5 tip- OldSchoolSEO.com. Be advised, the publisher can reject your listing and you will not get your money back. Some publishers use the “auto-bump” system where your listing is bumped as others come aboard. Currently, I have 3 #1 spots on various wesites and two of them have been at #1 for several days.

How to Respond to Online Fraud
Posted on April 30, 2008
Filed Under scam artists, online fraud, scams | 3 Comments
Have you ever been ripped off by someone online? I have and it really sucks. So what’s the best way to respond when this happens? Here is my methodology.
First, before doing business with anyone, whether online or not, I always do a Google search on them. You will be amazed at what you find out. I was recently getting ready to see a health care practitioner and found that this persons license had been suspended twice, and once it was for a 5 year period. Needless to say, I did more research and found an excellent practitioner.
So let’s say you do your homework (or let your guard dwon) and you still get taken, or at least you think you have. I like to start by assuming the best, or at least acting like that is what I am doing. Recently I sent an email to someone from whom I purchase a 100% money back guarantee product (NOTE: PayPal will NOT always help you get your money back, but that is another post). I got no response, and then I sent one more just to give them the benefit of the doubt - still nothing.
So I filed a complaint with PayPal which was to no avail other than the fact that if this person gets more complaints they will have to get a new PayPal identity to defraud people with.
From there, I sent emails to all of their providers which included PayPal (the payment processor) and Yahoo (their email provider) and the company they were misrepresenting (the only one who responded). This company is looking further into it because they are having their reputation marred by this person.
If all else fails, you can “bless them” with some free publicity by posting their info online for them, their friends and family to see. So Carmen Maria Dominguez (if that’s really your name) here is your day. You should be ashamed of yourself. BTW, if you all want to email her and let her know to stop, here is her email address: net10email@yahoo.com although I am sure it will be full of junk (emails from people she defrauded) or shut down by Yahoo.
